Lost in Darkness
A downloadable game
After years of the game being run by me, I'm sad to tell you that the networking utility I used stopped working (I'm unable to host the relay anymore), effectively killing the game. I'm very sorry about this and eternally grateful to everyone who tried the game <3 Love for all of you, and maybe I reboot the game in the future.
"You have 2 friends, your flashlight and your trusty shotgun"
You and your "friends" got into the survival bunker just in time! The world has ended and you find out you don't have enough rations to survive with everyone... In fact, there are enough rations for only ONE person. Your friends have turned against you and now try to kill you, so kill them before they kill you!
Heads up: I made the game in 2-3 weeks, so there might be some bugs :)
Gameplay
You randomly spawn into the bunker, and need to pickup weapons to kill your untrusty comrades. Rounds are pretty quick, and there is a gas zone that forces you into the middle.
You can only see around a meter forward, and with the flashlight more. BUT BEWARE, other people can see your flashlight. This will make it considerably easier to kill you, as they can see you but you can't see them.
Multiplayer
The multiplayer doesn't require port forwarding, but uses my relay server. You still host it on your computer, but the messages go through my server. It ensures that your ip will not be broadcasted norsent to the other players, giving you peace of mind.
Background
I made the game in around 3 weeks, so don't expect much :P The game was first planned for halloween (but I wasn't even fast enough). I hope you can still enjoy it.
The settings are found in the pause menu & main menu

Interesting, all of the lobbies are "public" so people could find them, this was a prototype game so didn't have time to fix that, sorry!
would be nice to be able to disable the gas zone as we tend to get killed by that more than each other

I can't join my friend party
I did enjoy this game but things i suggest are new maps and edit the old one unless you meant for their to be a place when u get trapped by zone. I also think more player models would work because right now everyone is just a bean
hello i played this with some friends and we really enjoyed it, however im curius how you set up the multiplayer stuff i have tried it before and i coulnt get it right any tips lol :)
I can recommend using Mirror networking framework for new people in the multiplayer land, they even have a helpful Discord server

Hello! my friends and I attempted to play this game on windows and our map didn't load and was just a void of darkness. And we suddenly died from these green boxes.

I'm extremely sorry for your experience, but I'm extremely thankful for you reporting the problem. I found the problem in the lights (not emitting light to "map") and I have fixed the problem.
I'm in the works of pushing the new update and hope you and your friends could play it now!

Antivirus avast does not allow the executable file to run. :(
Major bug. On either client, Windows, or Mac (don't know about Linux), the map doesn't load. It's just a void with the guns strewn about and the other player.
Tested with 20+ people, didn't have this bug...
Ill do some more testing...
I've identified the bug and I'm currently pushing a new fix to Itch
